Journeys

A Journey is the canonical product object in Reshot. It describes an outcome, its ordered steps and checkpoints, the contexts that matter, and the exact version used by every downstream Run, Decision, Rendition, and Publication.

Create a Journey

Choose New Journey and start with the source you control:

  • Authenticated recording records a real process in Chrome without a repository.
  • Manual definition creates a draft from an outcome, URL, context, and checkpoint.
  • Repository / CI discovers and runs an existing Playwright-owned workflow.
  • Existing evidence registers a Scribe, Tango, image, or video source as an unverified review candidate.

Recording is the default. Imported material never becomes verified evidence just because it was uploaded.

Maintain truth over time

Edit a Journey to change its ordered steps, stable targets, checkpoints, branches, and contexts. Saving creates a new draft version. Publishing makes an immutable version available for execution while preserving prior history.

From Journey detail, use Configure Run to choose the version, environment, contexts, and runner authorization for the next execution.
