Launch media use case

Launch Media from Approved Product Evidence

Produce launch screenshots, clips, captions, and product films from reviewed Observations while preserving visual truth and delivery receipts.

Launch Media from Approved Product Evidence turns reviewed Product Journey Observations into truthful screenshots, clips, captions, product films, social crops, and presentation scenes. Every asset retains its source Journey Version, declared state, transformation, Decision, Publication version, and receipt.

Launch urgency does not justify fabricated UI, invented metrics, or unreviewed product states.

Start from the released outcome

Define the change in terms of the customer or business outcome. Execute the current Journey Version against representative contexts. Retain functional proof, visual Observations, and relevant accessibility, state, target, privacy, and policy evidence.

Do not build the launch story from design mockups when the claim is about shipped product behavior. A mockup can be labeled as a concept; it is not a product Observation.

Choose a decisive product state

Make one state dominant and readable. Use a crop that preserves the interaction and outcome context. Add one or two overlapping states only when they explain a real relationship, such as before/after or source/Publication.

Avoid miniature full-app screenshots, accidental empty areas, tiny text, and competing focal points. Navigation belongs only when it is part of the story.

Keep text outside the evidence image

Marketing headlines, paragraphs, scene labels, and invented metrics should not be baked into product imagery. Add framing at embed or composition time. Preserve the clean product render as a reusable source-derived asset.

Alternative text, captions, transcripts, and surrounding explanation remain visible and machine-readable.

Produce versioned Renditions

From approved Observations, create the formats needed by real Channels:

  • website product visual;
  • open-graph or social crop;
  • launch-post screenshot;
  • captioned short clip;
  • product-film segment;
  • presentation scene;
  • help or training derivative;
  • release-book excerpt.

Record crop, scale, annotation, redaction, compression, sequence, captions, narration, template, and renderer version. Do not overwrite the source Observation.

Review every subject

Product Review confirms behavior and outcome. Marketing Review confirms message and audience. Design Review confirms visual quality. Accessibility Review covers captions, transcripts, alt text, motion, focus, and contrast. Privacy Review covers visible data and redaction. Channel Review confirms destination policy.

One broad approval cannot silently settle unrelated subjects.

Handle unfinished or conditional capabilities

If a feature is available only to a plan, role, flag, beta cohort, or environment, state the condition. If a path is not reachable, do not market package code, fixtures, prototypes, or future intent as complete capability.

Use release notes to describe what changed; use the product evidence to prove what the current path does.

Publish and verify

Deliver through the website, social channel, video host, presentation, documentation, or launch destination. Retain immutable version identity where possible, payload hash, delivery status, and receipt.

Verify the served asset at the actual destination. Confirm crop, resolution, caption, transcript, access, cache, and link behavior. A successful upload does not prove correct presentation.

Refresh after the launch

Launch assets often outlive the launch. Connect them to the Journey checkpoints they depict. On material change, choose keep, refresh, reframe, merge, redirect, block, or retire. Preserve historical release material when it is clearly dated and not presented as current product guidance.

Copied social images and slide decks are independent Publications even when the website asset updates.

Measure honestly

Track evidence lineage and delivery coverage. Track campaign reach, engagement, activation, and pipeline only from connected first-party systems. Do not infer business impact from image count or content velocity.

Record which external channels cannot be updated because account authorization is unavailable.

Prepare retrieval

Give important media a stable canonical page with visible explanation, descriptive headings, alternative text, captions or transcript, date, source context, and related product links. Add image or video schema only when visible content supports it. Neither a filename nor structured data compensates for an inaccessible or unsupported claim.

Keep the canonical source understandable without requiring the media player.

First launch set

Choose one real Journey change. Approve three checkpoints. Produce one product screenshot, one captioned clip, one social crop, and one release evidence excerpt. Review and deliver each through the real destination. Verify receipts.

Then change one source checkpoint and confirm the dependent launch assets become refresh-due without regenerating unaffected outputs.

Start with one release-critical Journey.

Define the outcome, declare its state, run it, inspect the evidence, and record the Decision before expanding coverage.
